KYLE ZORNES performed stand-up in Kentucky, while attending the University of Kentucky, where he graduated with a BA in Theatre (Class of 2006). He then moved to Chicago to train in improv at the Second City Training Center and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program. Kyle has performed in numerous comedic shows at The Second City (Chicago, IL), Annoyance Theater (Chicago, IL), and iO West (Los Angeles, CA).

Kyle is the former Artistic Director of Natural Gas, The Gift Theatre’s house improv Ensemble.

Dramatically, he has appeared in The Busy Body (University of Kentucky), Stop/Kiss (The Gift Theatre), Talk Radio (The Gift Theatre), Almost, Maine (The Gift Theatre), Vigils (The Gift Theatre), The Royal Society of Antarctica (The Gift Theatre), Richard III (The Gift Theatre at Steppenwolf), and Grapes of Wrath (The Gift Theatre).

In addition to his performances, Zornes had the honor of instructing high school students on improv and stand-up comedy, as part of the giftED. program at The Gift Theatre.

In 2017, after over eleven years in Chicago, Kyle decided to return to his home state of Kentucky, in order to pursue music. He is currently residing in Louisville, KY and performs his original songs all across the Bluegrass State. In 2020, he appeared on WHAS 11’s Great Day Live, along with is sometime music partner, violinist Emily Miller. They were positively delighted to share the spotlight with a VERY special guest, a young kangaroo, named Weston.
