Maureen Payne-Hahner

Maureen has been an ensemble member since 2001. Her next project is A Victorian Eye by Rory Fellowes, Jermyn Street Theatre, London, July 2013. Her other U.S. credits include: The How and The Why by Sarah Treem, ETOPiA productions, Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering, Chicago, 2012. “QED” by Peter Parnell i/a/w Collaboraction Theatre, Chicago, 2012.

Other directing credits include: Cloud 9 by Caryl Churchill, critics weekend pick Jonathan Abarbanel, WBEZ News, 2012 Jeff Citation winner for Best Costumes for a mid-size Equity theater, The Gift Theatre Company, Chicago (2011). Off-Broadway remount of A Number by Caryl Churchill i/a/w NAATCO (2011) at The Cherry Lane Theatre, NYC. Chicago premiere of QED by Peter Parnell for ETOPiA productions at Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering (2010).  Talk Radio by Eric Bogosian for The Gift Theatre Company, Chicago.  Copenhagen by Michael Frayn for ETOPiA productions at Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering. “The Countess” (Chicago Premiere) at Victory Gardens Theatre i/a/w The Gift Theatre Company, and (Assistant Director) Summer Cabaret at Yale University.

Maureen’s directing credits in Europe include: Copenhagen (Munich, Vienna, Zagreb), Sweet Phoebe, Two Conversations, Dark Pony, Litko and Epilogue (Munich).

Other credits with The Gift Theatre include: Boys Life, Orestes 2.0, Six Characters in Search of an Author.  She attended The School at Steppenwolf , Chicago (2001) with New York credits including: Naked Angels Theatre and The Ensemble Studio Theatre.  Maureen holds a BA with distinction from Mary Baldwin College. She resides in Connecticut with her wonderful family.
